Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Life Engagement Coordinator for our skilled nursing neighborhood. You will plan and implement activities that provide residents with an ASE experience focused on body, mind, and spirit, promoting wellness and meaningful engagement across different cognitive and functional levels.

The ideal candidate has an associate’s degree in a related field, at least three years of experience with older adults, and relevant certifications (CPR, dementia

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in recreation therapy, creative arts, or human services required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years minimum experience working with older adults.
• Certification in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or Activity Director eligible/certified.
• Dementia engagement certification (or willingness to obtain within one year).
• CPR certification eligible/maintained.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement programs and events providing residents with ASE (Acts Signature Experience).
• Incorporate wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality into activities.
• Ensure meaningful engagement for residents across cognitive and functional levels using Montessori-inspired approaches.
