Job Overview

The Pillars of Lakeville brings the best of senior care & living to the Twin Cities’ fastest-growing south metro community near Farmington. This beautiful new building will offer 100 senior apartments, including independent and assisted living units, as well as a carefully crafted memory care neighborhood on the first floor with a patio courtyard. The role involves coordinating leisure programs, activities, exercise classes, and special events for older adults in an assisted living residence.

The Life Enrichment Assistant supports the planning and implementation of quality leisure/social events programs designed to help senior residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care maintain their physical, social, and mental well-being. Located at Riley Crossing Senior Living in Lakeville, MN.

• 16 hours per two weeks
• Day shift
• Every other weekend

Responsibilities:

• Encourage resident participation and report changes in mood and physical health.
• Promote independence and socialization.
• Engage residents and find common interests to connect on.
• Drive community bus/van.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Activities Director.

Required Skills:

• Solid understanding of basic Microsoft and computer programs.
• Effective and compassionate interaction with senior residents/tenants.
• Good communication and social skills.
• Comfortable leading activities with older residents.
• Current Driver's License (in good standing).
• Ability to drive a 14-passenger van.

Preferred Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; others with relevant skills or experience will be considered.
• One to three years of experience working with older adults, leading activities, or in therapy/recreation roles, or formal related education.
• Experience with memory loss care is a plus.
• Experience in customer service.

Wages range from $16.78 to $23.50 per hour, based on experience.
