Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Chesapeake, Virginia, is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to develop and implement engaging activity programs across Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will promote physical and psychosocial wellbeing by offering diverse leisure and educational activities for all residents.

Qualifications

• CTRS or activities professional eligibility (NCTRC/NCCAP) required or eligible.
• Two years in social/recreational programs in last five years; one year in long-term care for seniors with dementia.
• CDP or eligibility for certification.
• Excellent written and oral communication with residents, families, staff and public.
• Passion for life enrichment and senior wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a daily activity program for IL/AL/MC.
• Attend resident association meetings and advise committees.
• Coordinate budget and manage activity expenses.
• Supervise staff and train volunteers; maintain supplies and area.
• Coordinate with families and staff to encourage participation.
