Job summary

Legend Senior Living in McKinney, TX is seeking a Life Enrichment (Activities) Assistant to plan and execute engaging resident activities, manage calendars, budgets, and coordinate with outside organizations.

You will ensure activities meet residents’ needs and preferences, oversee a specific life enrichment component as assigned, and assist with transporting residents to events using the company vehicle while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Age 25 or older to meet company insurance requirements.
• Clean driving record to meet company insurance requirements.
• Willingness and ability to transport residents in company vehicles.
• Experience with seniors, event planning, lesson planning, demonstrated creative skills.
• Standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and implementation of resident activities, including calendar development, budgeting, coordinating with outside organizations, setup and cleanup.
• Help ensure activities meet the needs and preferences of residents.
• Oversee a specific life enrichment component as assigned (e.g. Memory Care, specific activity).
• Coordinate transportation of residents to and from outside events, driving company vehicle when needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
