Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced radar DSP engineer to design and simulate end-to-end systems, validate DSP algorithms for detection, tracking, and calibration, and support code generation in Matlab/Simulink. You will collaborate with hardware teams to select FPGA platforms and optimize resource usage, while contributing to HW bring-up and RTL verification.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with +5 years of DSP experience.
• Experience implementing DSP algorithms on FPGA and/or embedded processor.
• Experience simulating end-to-end systems to meet performance specs.
• Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink or equivalent modeling environment.
• Experience designing and optimizing DSP algorithms for radar or related sensors.
• Proficiency with IEEE 802.3, XAUI, PCIe, JESD204, I2C, SPI interfaces.
• RTL writing proficiency: Verilog/SystemVerilog (SystemVerilog preferred).
• Strong FPGA design concepts including CDC, timing closure.

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate end-to-end systems to meet performance specs.
• Design and validate DSP algorithms for detection, tracking, calibration, parameter estimation.
• Support Matlab/Simulink code generation for signal processing and filtering.
• Analyze algorithmic complexity and hardware resource needs.
• Work with hardware engineers to select FPGA, ADC/DAC, memory, IO.
• Support HW bring-up and RTL/FPGA verification.
