Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a Principal FPGA Designer to lead the design, development, and verification of complex FPGA-based systems for high‑speed data processing and communications in space applications. You will drive architecture, RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, and hardware bring‑up in a fast‑paced team.

The role requires deep expertise in VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, experience with AMD Versal or similar devices, and strong mentoring abilities to grow junior engineers while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of hands-on FPGA design and verification experience with leadership at principal or senior level.
• Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog and SystemVerilog for RTL design and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA designs through full development lifecycle from requirements capture to hardware bring‑up.
• Develop and refine FPGA design methodologies, coding standards, and best practices.
• Develop verification environments with testbenches and constrained‑random stimuli; build coverage models.
