Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Department of Consumer Protection is seeking a License and Applications Analyst in Hartford, CT. This role supports online licensing services, reviews license applications, and assists with process improvements across multiple license types.

Located at 450 Columbus Blvd, Hartford, this full-time hybrid position may require occasional evenings or weekends, with eligibility for telework under the Telework Policy. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience performing technical or complex clerical duties involving the review or processing of licenses, certifications or permits for a governmental regulatory agency or in a regulated industry.
• Ability to review applications for compliance with requirements and applicable statutes and regulations.
• Experience with online licensing systems and templates for licensing workflows.
• Strong written and oral communication and data reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Review applications for compliance with requirements and regulations.
• Assist in creating and updating online licensing templates and applications.
• Post and maintain completed online applications daily.
• Respond to inquiries via email and phone from applicants and consumers.
• Interact with enforcement divisions for case work and background review.
• Compile reports related to initial and renewal applications.
• Complete FOI requests.
