The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services seeks a Licensing and Registration Specialist in the Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs (OCRP). Duties include processing, reviewing and making determinations regarding applications for registrations, permits, and licenses, and responding to regulants and the public.

This hourly position is limited to working no more than 1500 hours per year and offers no state benefits. Location: VDACS Central Headquarters.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and apply statutory and regulatory requirements to licensing, registration, and permitting processes.
• Strong customer service focus with independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with commonly used business software and office equipment.

Responsabilités

• Process, review and determine issuance or renewal of registrations, permits and licenses.
• Answer questions from regulants and the public and resolve related complaints.
