Job summary

VDACS is seeking a Licensing and Registration Specialist in the Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs (OCRP) to process, review and determine issuances or renewals of registrations, permits and licenses under the Virginia Solicitation of Contributions Law. This hourly position is limited to 1500 hours per year and offers no state benefits.

Qualifications

• Interpret and apply statutory and regulatory requirements to licensing, registration and permitting processes.
• Experience with licensing, registration and permitting practices.
• Strong customer service, independent judgment, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with common office software.
• HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Process and review applications for registrations, licenses and permits.
• Make determinations on issuance or renewal of registrations and licenses.
• Answer questions from regulants and the public and apply departmental policies.
• Resolve related complaints and maintain documentation.
