Job summary

California Department of Social Services is seeking a Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) to join the California Children’s Residential Program in the San Jose Regional Office, with flexibility to be located in San Jose or San Bruno, CA. The LPA will conduct licensing duties, review applications, perform evaluations, and investigate complaints.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, frequent travel, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment, with fingerprinting and background checks

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel frequently.
• SOQ must address: interpretation and enforcement of policies and regulations; investigations; managing a caseload.
• Fingerprinting and criminal record clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement orientations/training programs.
• Review applications and recommend license actions (approval/denial).
• Perform on-site facility evaluations and investigate complaints.
• Recommend and prepare administrative actions to deny, revoke, or suspend licenses.
• Travel frequently to assigned facilities and participate in joint visits as needed.
