Job summary

King County's Records and Licensing Services Division is seeking a Licensing Specialist (Customer Service Specialist III) for a 6-month term-limited temporary position. The role emphasizes trust, collaboration, and rapport with King County customers, with a focus on licensing and regulatory expertise in a fast-paced, high-volume office.

The ideal candidate will excel in a team environment, demonstrate initiative, and bring a can-do attitude while handling vehicle/vessel licensing, taxi/TNC

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, codes, laws, policies, procedures, and ordinances.
• Experience with Excel and accurate cash handling.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on documents and licensing requirements.
• Perform data entry, filing, sorting using Word and Excel.
• Review documents for state law requirements for vehicle/vessel titling.
• Provide information about licensing policies and regulations.
• Resolve issues quickly while delivering excellent customer service.
• Maintain data by organizing searches through files and records.
• Process payments and reconcile data daily.
• Contribute innovative ideas to the Licensing team.
