Job summary

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) is seeking a Customer Information Representative to provide frontline service at the Long Island City office. You will assist customers, review licensing information, and process applications across multiple channels with strong data-entry and administrative support.

Preferred candidates have civil service experience, excellent communication, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or 60 credits with 1 year relevant experience also acceptable.
• Four-year high school diploma with 2 years of related experience accepted.
• Satisfactory combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at TLC counters by answering questions and handling licensing matters in person, by email, and by phone.
• Review applicant and licensee information for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform data entry and maintain records in TLC systems and databases.
• Prepare and process applications in accordance with TLC rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with other units, prepare monthly reports, and support training materials.
