Job summary

NextPlay Jobs is seeking a Licensing & Compliance Project Coordinator to research, organize, and build the licensing and regulatory infrastructure for a new national initiative in the western suburbs of Chicago.

You will determine requirements across states, work with government agencies, document findings, and create scalable processes for ongoing compliance. The role focuses on project coordination, process-building from scratch, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in licensing, permitting, certifications, credentialing, registrations, regulatory compliance or similar functions.
• Experience researching requirements across multiple states or jurisdictions preferred.
• Comfortable contacting government agencies independently.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience managing renewals and recurring compliance requirements.
• Ability to organize large amounts of detailed information across multiple deadlines.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience building trackers or processes from scratch is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research licensing, certification, registration, permitting and regulatory requirements across multiple states.
• Identify differences in requirements across jurisdictions.
• Communicate with state agencies to clarify requirements and navigate applications.
• Research licensing and certification requirements for company personnel.
• Coordinate applications, registrations, licenses and supporting documentation.
• Track renewals, expirations and recertifications and associated obligations.
• Build centralized Excel trackers for requirements and deadlines.
• Develop scalable workflows and processes for growing programs.
• Monitor regulatory changes and identify compliance gaps.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive items to completion.
