Job summary

The State of Ohio's Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board is seeking a Certification Licensure Examiner 1/Office Professional 2 in Columbus, OH. The role handles incoming license applications, ensures compliance with laws and rules, and issues licenses when complete.

You will perform basic clerical tasks, answer applicant questions, and manage licensure verification and wall certificate requests.

Qualifications

• 12 months training OR 12 months experience in clerical/secretarial or other administrative support position involving public contact AND 1 course or 3 months experience in typing, word processing or data entry using video display terminal.
• -OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

• Examines, reviews & verifies incoming initial application information for a small queue of licenses and issues licenses when complete;
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules &/or procedures, determines accuracy, completeness & acceptability;
• Answers questions from applicants regarding status of applications;
• Performs basic clerical tasks (e.g. answers telephone, directs calls, takes messages);
• Processes licensure verification and duplicate wall certificate services requests.
