Qualifications

• Formal arithmetic education including fractions, decimals and percentages; English reading, writing and speaking.
• 1 course or 3 months of experience in human/public relations; valid Ohio Class ‘D’ Driver License.
• Must be 21 years of age per Ohio law.

Responsibilities

• Conducts road tests for vehicle operator’s license by accompanying applicants in a vehicle on a prescribed course.
• Instructs applicants in driving maneuvers to be performed during testing.
• Administers driving tests for Class D, motorcycle, moped, restricted licenses and other exams as required by the BMV.
• Evaluates and grades applicants’ driving ability and readiness.
• Uses BMV computer systems to enter applicant information and manage test scores, appointments and licenses.
