Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Usually 1–3 years of experience or service.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Familiarity with laws and ordinances on business licensure and taxation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and assists staff in processing business licenses and related certificates.
• Supervises collection and posting of tax payments for current and delinquent accounts.
• Conducts profitability studies to set occupation tax class and rate.
• Performs audits and prepares reports with recommendations.
• Interviews, hires, trains, and evaluates personnel.
• Develops policies and procedures for the Occupation Tax Section.
• Implements strategies to collect undiscovered revenue and ensure compliance.
• Prepares daily deposits and serves as backup timekeeper.
