Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a contracted, school-based 1:1 placement in Antelope, CA for the 26/27 school year. This is a full-time private duty role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

You’ll work with a team of nurses, receive clinical backing, and have access to professional development, licensure reimbursement, and a dedicated RN for collaboration and advocacy throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Active California LVN License required.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification required.
• Demonstrated competency in seizure management, medication administration, and critical thinking.
• Ability to implement physician orders within LVN scope of practice.
• School-based experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the student throughout the school day.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with care plans and procedures.
• Provide first aid and medication administration.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community activities as assigned.
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family.

The Stepping Stones Groupis seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Antelope, CA for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K‑12 district with nursing services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LVN License in California
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Seizure management - competent with seizure action plans and rescue medications
  • Medication administration
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LVN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO
