Job summary

HCA Healthcare is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team. This full-time role offers a day-shift, Monday through Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays, and a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

You will manage patient flow, document health information, coordinate tests and referrals, and support physicians in exams. A valid LPN/LVN license and 2+ years of hospital/clinic experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an LPN/LVN license.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hospital or clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient patient flow including screening, prep for exam, vitals.
• Notify patients of results and follow-up care instructions.
• Maintain patient records and post lab/test results.
• Schedule tests and referrals and obtain pre-authorizations.
• Assist provider with exams and prep for physicals.
• Coordinate prescriptions with pharmacy and notify patients.
• Control inventory and monitor supplies.
• Record health history and note abnormal findings for physicians.
• Respond to calls and triage referrals to nurse/physician.
• Support departmental workflow and patient care flow.

Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

• You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, instructing patients on collection of any necessary samples/tests, and obtaining vitals
• You will notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments and instruct patients and families about medications and treatment instructions
• You will manage patient records including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results
• You will schedule tests and treatments including arranging referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider
• Assist provider with physical exams and in preparation for physicals
• Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients
• Control inventory and monitoring of supplies
• Record health history of patients and note abnormal conditions for physicians
• Respond to and screen telephone calls for referrals to nurse or physician
• Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow

What Qualifications you will need:

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations.
