Memorial Health - Surgical Specialists - Breast is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care and clinical operations. You will ensure efficient patient flow, assist with exams, manage records, and coordinate tests and referrals in a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate holds an LPN license, has 2+ years hospital or clinic experience, and will adhere to state licensure requirements to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, and vitals collection.
• Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments; instruct on medications and treatment.
• Manage patient records, chart entries, and posting lab/test results.
• Schedule tests and treatments; arrange referrals and pre-authorizations as directed.
• Assist provider with exams and preparation for physicals.
• Coordinate prescriptions with pharmacy and notify patients.
• Control inventory and monitor supplies.
• Record health history and note abnormal findings for physicians.
• Respond to calls and triage to ensure department flow.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Full time (Monday - Friday, day shift), no nights, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays

Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, instructing patients on collection of any necessary samples/tests, and obtaining vitals

You will notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments and instruct patients and families about medications and treatment instructions

You will manage patient records including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results

You will schedule tests and treatments including arranging referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider

Assist provider with physical exams and in preparation for physicals

Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients

Control inventory and monitoring of supplies

Record health history of patients and note abnormal conditions for physicians

Respond to and screen telephone calls for referrals to nurse or physician

Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow

What Qualifications you will need:

A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
