Memorial Health - Surgical Specialists - Breast is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a full-time day shift. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care within a collaborative team focused on patient-centered service.

The role involves managing patient flow, taking vitals, preparing for exams, documenting records, coordinating tests and referrals, and assisting providers during visits.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow including screening, prep for exams, vitals, and sample collection.
• Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments; instruct on medications.
• Maintain and enter patient records, lab results, and exam notes.
• Schedule tests and treatments; arrange referrals and pre-authorizations as directed.
• Assist providers during exams; triage calls and support department operations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Full time (Monday - Friday, day shift), no nights, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays

Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

• You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, instructing patients on collection of any necessary samples/tests, and obtaining vitals
• You will notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments and instruct patients and families about medications and treatment instructions
• You will manage patient records including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results
• You will schedule tests and treatments including arranging referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider
• Assist provider with physical exams and in preparation for physicals
• Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients
• Control inventory and monitoring of supplies
• Record health history of patients and note abnormal conditions for physicians
• Respond to and screen telephone calls for referrals to nurse or physician
• Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow

What Qualifications you will need:
