HCA Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time, weekday day-shift position at Meadows Pediatrics Church St. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care alongside a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited LPN degree and a valid state license, with at least 2 years of hospital or clinic experience preferred. This environment emphasizes patient safety and efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations.

Responsibilities

• You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, instructing patients on collection of any necessary samples/tests, and obtaining vitals.
• You will notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments and instruct patients and families about medications and treatment instructions.
• You will manage patient records including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results.
• You will schedule tests and treatments including arranging referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider.
• Assist provider with physical exams and in preparation for physicals.
• Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients.
• Control inventory and monitoring of supplies.
• Record health history of patients and note abnormal conditions for physicians.
• Respond to and screen telephone calls for referrals to nurse or physician.
• Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow.
