Job summary
Small Door is seeking a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) to join our NYC team. You will triage, assess patients, assist veterinarians, and support diagnostics in a fast-paced, friendly hospital that emphasizes Fear Free care and AAHA accreditation.
Responsibilities include recording vitals, preparing medications, assisting in radiography, running in-house labs, and delivering compassionate care. Weekend availability and strong client communication are essential for success in this
Qualifications
- Valid LVT license in NY or eligibility
- Weekend availability required
- Strong client communication skills and empathy
- Team-oriented with ability to multitask in fast-paced clinic
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient handling
Responsibilities
- Triage and assess patients and assist doctors with diagnostics
- Record vitals and support treatments as directed
- Prepare medications and administer as prescribed
- Assist in radiography and sample collection
- Support in-hospital labs and monitoring patients
- Provide compassionate care and client communication
- Contribute to a hospitable, stress-free environment
