Small Door in Manhattan is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our compassionate GP practice. You’ll triage, record vitals, assist doctors, perform treatments, and help with radiography and in-house labs in a fast-paced, fear-free environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an LVT in a GP setting.
• Weekend availability (Saturday or Sunday) required.
• Comfortable with computers and online tools.
• Strong communication with clients.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about pets.

Responsibilities

• Triaging
• Recognizing medical emergencies and illnesses
• Assessing patients
• Recording vitals and assisting doctors with diagnostics
• Completing treatments as instructed by the doctor
• Basic husbandry and nursing care
• Monitoring changes in patients and providing compassionate care
• Taking blood
• Placing catheters
• Assisting in radiography capture
• Preparing samples for outside reference labs
