Job summary

The ASPCA Community Medicine teams operate stationary and mobile clinics in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles to deliver affordable veterinary care. As Licensed Veterinary Technician Staff and Floor Manager at the Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC), you’ll oversee the flow, assist with HQHVSN and PPC, and help cats and dogs receive high-quality care.

You will direct clinic workflow, mentor staff, and ensure compassionate, low-stress handling while maintaining safety and compliance with CM

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited veterinary technology program.
• Minimum five years of RVT experience in small animal medicine.
• Minimum two years of people management experience.
• Current New York State Veterinary Technician License.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds and stand 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of veterinary technician tasks including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery.
• Assist veterinarians with HQHVSN and PPC procedures.
• Direct workflow on the clinic floor and manage client communication.
• Coach nursing staff and ensure compliance with CM SOPs.
• Train and onboard new nursing staff and interns.
