Qualifications

  • At least two years of hands-on veterinary technician or assistant experience.
  • Current veterinary technician license or progress toward licensure preferred.
  • Proficiency with IV catheter placement, venipuncture, lab testing, and radiology.
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance.
  • Strong communication and client-education abilities; able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Place IV catheters and collect blood and laboratory samples.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and assist with diagnostic radiographs.

What Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Do
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
