Qualifications

• At least two years of hands-on veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience.
• Current veterinary technician license or progress toward licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Place IV catheters and collect blood and laboratory samples.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform in-house laboratory testing and assist with diagnostic radiographs.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and surgical areas for procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and accurately document patient vital signs.
• Provide attentive nursing care throughout treatment and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and reptiles.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records.
• Educate clients about medications, treatments, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.
• Work closely with doctors and support staff to deliver exceptional medical care.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and surgical areas
