Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD in Houston, TX seeks a Licensed Therapist (LPHA) Competency Restoration to provide clinical assessments for court-ordered competency and deliver competency restoration education. The LPHA-CR will train staff per state requirements and contribute data for program success, working within a trauma-informed multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in a social, behavior, or human service field and Texas licensure as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT;

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social, behavior, or human service field from an accredited college or university.
• The candidate should hold clinical licensure in Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT).
• Experience in training or instruction is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments ordered by the court and provide dispositions to the court.
• Facilitate competency restoration education in individual or group settings.
• Collaborate with administration to improve quality of care in a trauma-informed way.
