Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD in Houston seeks a Licensed Therapist (LPHA) to join the Youth Crisis Outreach Team. You will perform community crisis assessments, provide crisis counseling, develop treatment plans, and coordinate access to care within a fast-paced, trauma-informed environment.

Qualifications include a Master’s in a social/behavioral field and a Texas license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) with 2+ years of mental health experience.

• ,2 Texas license (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) and 2+ years clinical experience.
• ,3 Must be able to work on-call, weekends and holidays for 24/7 crisis program.
• ,4 Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform community-based crisis assessments to determine level of care and safety.
• Provide crisis counseling to reduce symptoms and prevent admission.
• Collaboratively create and monitor treatment plans with consumers.
• Coordinate case management to access needed care and services.
• Maintain daily electronic documentation per guidelines and ensure medical record accuracy.
