The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD in Houston, TX seeks a Licensed Therapist (LPHA) at our CRU location. You will conduct independent assessments and interventions based on treatment plans and consumer needs, with some travel to homes or field sites.

This role emphasizes crisis intervention, CBT for severe mental illness, and coordination of care, while advocating for clients and ensuring services meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social, behavioral, or human service field.
• Texas licensure: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Licensure plus 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Monitor consumer progress toward treatment goals and assess intervention effectiveness.
• Perform clinical assessments for diagnostic eligibility and treatment needs.
• Provide CBT focusing on reducing symptoms of severe mental illness.
• Offer crisis intervention to prevent admission to restrictive environments.
• Provide training on mental illness and related symptoms to consumers.
• Coordinate access to care and services based on individual needs.
• Contribute to treatment formulation, planning, and service authorizations.
• Ensure services meet eligibility criteria and regulatory guidelines.
• Advocate for consumer needs within The Harris Center and the community.
• Communicate respectfully with diverse consumers and staff; complete timely reporting.
• Meet divisional productivity standards and uphold ethical conduct.
