Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Competency Restoration Services Coordinator to lead statewide curriculum development, training materials, and implementation of competency restoration programs for adults and youth under relevant codes.

This senior role provides expert consultation to state hospitals, LMHAs, and contracted providers, coordinates statewide trainings, and supports policy interpretation, evaluation, and quality improvement across HHSC teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with forensic mental health.
• Knowledge of competency restoration practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and evaluation of competency restoration curricula.
• Provide advanced technical assistance and consultation across stakeholders.
• Respond to inquiries and serve as statewide resource on restoration models.
• Develop new educational materials and train-the-trainer activities.
• Coach providers to support fidelity and improvements.
• Evaluate practices and monitor training effectiveness.
