Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Licensed Substance Use Counselor to assist patients through medically assisted treatments and counseling for opioid addiction in an outpatient setting.

You will conduct individual and group sessions, evaluate patients’ progress with doctors and nurses, and develop treatment and discharge plans to support long-term recovery. A valid Ohio license (CDCA/LCDC/LPC/LSW) is required, with experience in chemical dependency preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Ohio CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, LPC, or LSW.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is preferred
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, accepting attitude toward our patient population
• Understanding of an EMR system (electronic medical records)
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients in trauma informed manner
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
