Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers in Ohio is seeking a compassionate Licensed Substance Use Counselor to support patients in outpatient care. You will guide medical-assisted treatment, conduct individual and group sessions, and help patients manage crisis and coping strategies.

Collaboration with clinicians ensures holistic care and successful recovery. Applicants should hold Ohio CDCA/LCDC/LPC/LSW credentials and have experience with chemically dependent individuals.

Qualifications

• Ohio CDCA/LCDC/LPC/LSW certification required or equivalently valid state licensure.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and documentation practices.
• Successful drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through treatments and counseling for opioid use disorder.
• Conduct individual and group sessions; crisis management and coping strategies.
• Evaluate progress and coordinate with doctors and nurses to improve outcomes.
• Provide direct counseling, develop treatment plans and aftercare/discharge plans.
• Ensure trauma-informed delivery of counseling services.
