Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers in Walpole, MA seeks a licensed SPED teacher specializing in History/Humanities to join Clifford Academy, a Chapter 766 program serving students with diverse needs.

Under the direction of the principal, you will implement individualized education programs, support behavioral management and crisis intervention, participate in multi-disciplinary teams, and prepare IEP-related reports while collaborating with families to foster educational success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with knowledge in history/humanities.
• Massachusetts educator licensure required.
• Master's in Education preferred.
• Special Education license desired.
• Experience working in education with diverse learners is highly desirable.
• Computer literate with basic software skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized education programs for students with varying abilities.
• Manage behavior and assist with crisis intervention in the classroom.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and report on student progress (IEPs).
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom and involve families in the program.
