Job summary

Pittsboro Health & Rehab Center is seeking a Social Worker to assist the Director in meeting residents' emotional and social needs within a skilled nursing setting. The role supports planning, coordinating, and directing the Social Services Department to maintain high standards of care.

This temporary opportunity begins November 9th with shifts that vary. A current Social Work license in the state, strong English communication, and healthcare experience are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Must possess English communication skills.
• Must have healthcare experience or familiarity with long-term care environments.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must hold a current, unencumbered Social Work license as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director to ensure residents' medically related emotional and social needs are met.
• Plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Social Services Department according to standards and policies.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to assist the Director to ensure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis. You willassist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the community’s Social Services Department inaccordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures.Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Social Services Policies and Procedures.

Education and Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Possession of a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Social Work within the state in which you work, if required by state/federal regulations.

• Must have experience in Long Term Care as well as behavioral health

• Experience working in healthcare, either social services, direct care or hospitality, is preferred.

• Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Shift & Wage:

• Temporary Opportunity Available

  • Temporary position for approximately 12-14 weeks, beginning November 9th

• Shifts Needed: Varies

• Wage: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
