Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a qualified Tradesman Service Plumber to handle a range of residential plumbing tasks, including troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plumbing systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure work meets high-quality standards and local codes.

Responsibilities include installing and testing water, gas, and sewage systems, maintaining safety practices, managing inventory, and coordinating with homeowners and teams.

Qualifications

• Tradesman license required and 2+ years of hands-on plumbing experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and 3+ years driving.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and job specs.
• Experience with water, gas and sewage systems and local codes.
• Familiar with pipe cutters, threaders and soldering tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and failures in plumbing systems and equipment.
• Decide if repairs or replacements are needed for customers.
• Install and assemble plumbing systems and valves, pipes and fittings.
• Perform installation, maintenance and repairs on water, gas systems.
• Test for leaks using compressed air or water for safety and function.
• Repair and maintain plumbing by replacing washers and fixing bursts.
• Manage inventory of supplies in the vehicle and track receipts.
• Keep equipment and tools serviced per manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain safety equipment and follow procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
