Job summary

Constellation Energy is seeking Initial License Trainees (ILT) to become a licensed Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) at the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station in Cordova, IL. The ILT program begins in January 2027 and trains toward NRC licensing to supervise reactor operators.

Participants will complete classroom and on-the-job training, with opportunities to assist outage coverage and shift supervision. This full-time role offers relocation assistance and a path to a highly skilled operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus engineering/physical sciences degree or PE license.
• 1.5 years Reactor Operator experience at a comparable facility or related supervisory role.
• 1.5+ years in a qualified non-licensed operator or supervisor role at a similar plant.
• SRO Instructor certification and 4 years at a comparable facility (or 6 years at non-comparable).

Responsibilities

• Attend ILT with classroom training and on-the-job training and evaluation.
• Complete training to obtain an SRO license and perform duties of Operations Shift Supervisor.
• Support outage activities and provide department coverage as needed.
