Job summary

Constellation Energy seeks Initial License Trainees to become licensed Senior Reactor Operators at the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station in Cordova, IL. ILT class begins January, 2027.

The program trains candidates to supervise licensed reactor operators in the control room and prepares them for NRC licensing. After licensure, compensation includes a substantial bonus structure and shift premiums.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a noncomparable facility.
• 1.5+ years in a position equivalent to Reactor Operator (or Supervisor) at a military reactor.
• Engineering degree or PE license with 1.5+ years in related roles.
• Managerial/supervisor experience at a noncomparable plant may count toward experience.
• Current or former SRO Instructor certification and 4 years at a comparable facility or 6 years at a non-comparable facility.
• Maintain access requirements and pass medical examinations.

Responsibilities

• Attend Initial License Training (ILT) including classroom and on-the-job training.
• Complete all training phases to obtain an SRO license to supervise licensed operators.
• Perform duties of Operations Shift Supervisor and support outage activities.
• Provide emergency response, call-outs and department coverage as directed.
