Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement plans of care under a physical therapist, serving patients of all ages. This role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for moving 50+ miles.

The PTA will educate patients and families, follow the PT plan of care, document daily notes, and participate in a multidisciplinary team within the Carle Health system. Eligibility includes an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, PTA licensure (IDFPR), and BLS

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA).
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam on next available date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and documents communications.
• Produces documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education for applicable program requirements.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and progress.
