Job summary

DFW Home Health, part of the LHC Group, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients per the plan of care. The role emphasizes home-based care and collaboration with a supervising Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include leading rehabilitation activities, monitoring patient progress, and instructing families while adhering to state laws.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance or access to a dependable vehicle.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification preferred (or ability to complete within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and plan of care defined by supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercise and gait training.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate with the healthcare team.
• Instruct patient, family, and caregivers on therapy areas within scope.
• Maintain safety and accessibility in diverse home environments.
