Job summary

Ascension Living at Sacred Heart Village in Avilla, IN seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for a temporary night-shift position in the Assisted Living department. You will deliver hands-on care, administer medications, monitor residents, and assist RNs to ensure safety and comfort.

Minimum licensure and at least 1 year of related experience are required; BLS is accepted. A compassionate, detail-oriented approach is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration required; BLS accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency or equivalent; 1 year of relevant experience.
• Professional licensure may substitute education/experience where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Delivers hands-on nursing care, including medication administration and routine assessments.
• Supports RNs by monitoring resident conditions and reporting changes promptly.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
