Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join Walton Correctional Institution in Defuniak Springs, FL. This full-time night position provides holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under supervision of RNs and medical staff.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, document care, respond to health needs, and work within correctional health guidelines. Florida LPN license and CPR are required; security clearance background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Florida LPN license or ability to obtain license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Corrections experience not required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the scope of practice.
• Respond to a range of physical and mental health needs under supervision of RNs and medical/psychiatric staff.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, document care, and coordinate with health care team.

We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Walton Correctional Institution located in Defuniak Springs, Florida.

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. Licensed Practical Nurses work under the direction of Registered Nurses, medical, and psychiatric staff to respond to a range of physical and mental health needs.

Qualifications:

• Florida LPN license or ability to obtain license
• Current CPR
• Corrections experience not required
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: Nights, (2) 12-hour shifts; (1) 10-hour shift; and (1) 6-hour shift each week
