SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join a dedicated team. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a with every other weekend. An unrestricted LPN license is required, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time employees.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the LPN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, education, and services for residents. Experience in supervision and safe medication administration is valued.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted LPN license required.
• Current professional nursing licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care and services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Provide safe medication-related interventions for residents.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders accurately.
• Notify physicians of status changes and implement orders promptly.
• Develop and implement plans of care based on assessments.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize residents when needed.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the LPN may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.

Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
