Anson Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a day shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals in North Carolina. The LPN must hold an unrestricted LPN license and will work 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm.

A sign-on bonus is available and the position is full-time. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, you will plan, coordinate and manage nursing care and health education for residents, with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit and ensure staff provide appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments and notify physician of changes; implement orders.
• Develop a care plan based on assessment and implement nursing care.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize conditions and prevent complications.
• Contribute to resident assessments and care plan development.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the LPN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and /or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the residents’ assessment and the development of a care plan.
