Job summary

SanStone Health in North Carolina is seeking a day shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN must hold an unrestricted LPN license and work 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm in a full-time capacity.

Sign-on bonus is available and benefits are provided. The role involves supervising CNAs, coordinating resident care, and delivering compassionate, patient-centered nursing services to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit ensuring appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments and notify physicians of changes; implement new orders.
• Develop and implement an individualized plan of care based on assessments.
• Select and institute nursing interventions to stabilize conditions and prevent complications.
• Contribute to residents’ assessments and the development of care plans.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the LPN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and /or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the residents’ assessment and the development of a care plan.
