Job summary

Ashton Health and Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our care team. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a with every other weekend; full-time positions include a $3,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, LPNs will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, administer medications, document orders, and contribute to individualized care plans to support residents’ health and well-being.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted LPN license in good standing.
• Willingness to work 7a-7p or 7p-7a with every other weekend.
• Sign-on bonus offered for full-time employees.
• Ability to provide nursing care and health education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents on the unit, ensuring staff can provide appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions.
• Accurately transcribe and implement physician orders.
• Notify physician of status changes and implement new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment and implement nursing care.
• Institute nursing interventions needed to stabilize residents or prevent complications.
• Contribute to resident assessments and development of care plans.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the LPN may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.

Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
