Job summary

The Laurels of Kent in Lowell, MA seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to oversee and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts under the direction of the Director of Nursing. You will provide clinical supervision to CNAs, ensure continuity of care, and serve as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.

Minimum 1–2 years of LPN nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care preferred.
• Current state license to practice as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed; transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations for CNAs/STNAs.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
