Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, full-time school-based placement in Hampton, VA for the 26/27 school year. This private duty/1:1 role supports a K-12 district with nursing services and offers clinical backing from experienced nurses.

Responsibilities include continuous observation, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with school teams; RN support is available along with professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Virginia.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• School-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans.
• Provide first aid and medication administration.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned.
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family.

Job description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Hampton, VA for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in Virginia
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • Tube feedings and management
  • Oxygen and airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO
