Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based PDN placement in Denver, CO for the 26/27 school year. This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

The ideal candidate is skilled with pediatric trach and vent patients and preferably has school-based PDN experience. You will work with a supportive clinical team, receive consistent pay, and access ongoing professional development and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in CO.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Pediatric experience required.
• Competency in tracheostomy management, tube feedings, oxygen and airway management, medication administration, catheterization.
• School-based experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans.
• PDNs will be responsible for any airway care needed for their client including proper tracheal suctioning and airway management, as needed trach care and trach tie changes, inhaler and nebulizer treatments, emergency care and emergency trach changes.
• Provide first aid and medication administration.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned.
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family.
