Job summary

Regency at Fremont, part of Ciena Healthcare, is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide, oversee and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts in compliance with regulations and facility policy under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

This role includes clinical supervision of nursing assistants, ensuring continuity of care and serving as a key resource for residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute settings preferred.
• Current state license to practice as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations for CNAs/STNAs.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
