Job summary

Regency at Lansing West, part of Ciena Healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee resident care during assigned shifts and supervise nursing staff under the direction of the Director of Nursing. The role emphasizes coordination of care, compliance with regulations, and continuous resident support.

The position includes a sign-on bonus and a benefits package. Candidates should have 1–2 years of LTC or sub-acute nursing experience and hold an active LPN license with CPR

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute settings.
• Must hold a current state LPN license.
• CPR certification required or within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work to meet resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments and adjusts for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Handles staffing calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units based on staffing needs.
• Completes performance evaluations for CNAs/STNAs.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Use independent judgment in line with company policies and laws.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing, overseeing and coordinating the delivery of resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policy under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing/designee. This role provides clinical supervision to nursing assistants, ensures continuity of care, and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.
